Salary Range: $75,000 – $90,000

Montage is looking for a seasoned Senior Events Manager to join our growing agency. Qualified candidates will help craft, create, and execute special events reaching diverse communities online and in-person. The role serves as part of Montage Marketing Group’s client service team and reports to the Group Account Director.

About the Role

Organized, detail-oriented, and collaborative, the Senior Manager will work cross-functionally to design and produce both in-person and virtual events. You will oversee the development and execution of live engagements such as exhibits, tradeshows and conferences, mobile vehicle tours, and interactive technology engagements. Along with a passion for creative ideas, you should possess strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage teams, both permanent and temporary. This is a full-time, exempt position working at Montage’s McLean, VA office.


  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 8-10 years of agency, marketing, or events management experience.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, able to to take ownership of assignments from start to finish and produce work that meets quality control expectations.
  • Working knowledge of digital event platforms.
  • Experience leading and directing a team for event implementation.
  • Experience developing event documentation including event plan and timeline, run of show, and staffing plan.
  • Experience working with diverse communities across race/ethnicity, geography, and lifestyle.
  • Understanding of Section 508 compliance and event accessibility best practices.
  • Knowledge of presentation platforms is preferred.


  • Responsible for the strategy, development, and implementation of events and event services
  • Lead the direction for event activation
  • Execute and be onsite for event implementation
  • Work in collaboration with the Operations team for event logistics
  • Develop special digital event projects, specifically virtual health fairs, virtual conferences, virtual exhibit halls, virtual webinar and seminars
  • Develop systems and processes for event requests, logistics and operations
  • Train brand ambassadors
  • Travel on site (when allowed), load in and execute event assets as needed
  • Troubleshoot event implementation and fulfillment issues as they arise
  • Responsible for crisis management plans related to an event
  • Develop event implementation for multicultural or bilingual events
  • Develop event implementation for the disability community and activation protocols to enable inclusivity
  • Flexibility to work non-traditional hours including weekends/holidays.
  • Other duties and business travel may be assigned from time to time.
