Inspired by a Caribbean cruise with her family, DC-area native Marie Brooks is hoping to one day take a world cruise, with stops on all seven continents. Meanwhile, there’s plenty of work to be done.

But after work, she has energy left for volunteering, working with her church and sorority—and singing.
