Rima Matsumoto: Meet the Minds Behind ‘More’

Rima MatsumotoWhen opportunity knocks, Rima Matsumoto answers. That’s what brought her to the U.S. from Mexico at age 17, inspired her to launch a Japanese outpost of a global nonprofit that supports women in business, and ultimately, drove her to Montage. Her background, passion and experience make her invaluable to our team as a Multicultural Advisor.

A gymnast in her youth, Rima’s flexibility has evolved from physical to mental. She is an astute listener and avid learner. We particularly benefit from her ability to build strong relationships with people from all walks of life and transform complexities into impactful solutions. She, in turn, appreciates that no one on at Montage takes themselves too seriously.

In her spare time, Rima chairs the board of CASA, which provides a comprehensive array of services, education and civic engagement programs for low-income immigrants. It is one of the largest and most prominent nonprofit organizations in the Mid-Atlantic region.

Rima aspires to be a difference maker, as if she’s not already. Her other top priorities include her family, her dog and skim chai lattes.
