Our new year began with great news: Montage Marketing Group has been accepted into the U.S. Small Business Association’s esteemed 8(a) Business Development Program.
The 8(a) Program is designed to help small, minority-owned businesses thrive in the federal marketplace.
Acceptance into the SBA’s 8(a) Program serves as a strong endorsement of Montage’s work to date, and is a significant opportunity. There are more than 6 million minority-owned businesses in the U.S. Notably, less than .01 percent participate in the 8(a) Program.
The 8(a) program is a tremendous resource that provides specialized training, executive development, marketing assistance, and opportunities for support and mentorship.
The 8(a) Program lasts for nine years. Previous participants agree that businesses should be ready to take full advantage of the program’s benefits upon applying. Fortunately, mentors—8(a) graduates and businesses in their last five years of the program—are available to support companies in the developmental stage (years 1-4). Montage looks forward to receiving and offering support in both capacities.
