Montage Named Minority Marketing and Communications Firm of the Year

And the Minority Marketing and Communications Firm of the Year award goes to Montage Marketing Group. Register today to this winner in How I Did It: Reimaging Impact on Monday, September 14, 2020 at 10 a.m.

Brilliant BREAKING news: Montage has been named the Minority Marketing and Communications Firm of the Year by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency (MBDA). The award is the highest level of national recognition that a U.S. minority-owned firm can receive from the U.S. Department of Commerce. To say we’re honored would be an understatement.

Montage will be formally recognized as the Minority Marketing and Communications Firm of the Year during MBDA’s National Minority Enterprise Development (MED) Week, September 14-19, 2020. Throughout MED Week, awardees will share their innovative solutions to overcoming obstacles as part of the “How I Did It” interview series.

Montage’s own Mercedita Roxas-Murray will be in the spotlight on Monday, September 14 at 10 a.m. for “How I Did It: Reimagining Impact.” Joined by fellow honorees from MBDA’s Minority Health Products and Services Firm of the Year and Minority Construction Firm of the Year, Mercedita will discuss how Montage continues to redefine the blueprint for innovation, engagement, and execution. You’re invited to tune in!

MBDA held up Montage’s success, creativity, and impact when selecting us as the Minority Marketing and Communications Firm of the Year. The U.S. Department of Commerce agency also recognized the challenges we have overcome.

As a firm that specializes in live events and engagements, Montage has historically conducted marketing campaigns face-to-face. The COVID-19 pandemic changed all of that. Within a matter of weeks, Montage shifted from in-person to online-only events. We saw our field teams – nearly a quarter of our staff – safely off the road and into new job functions. And we worked collaboratively, albeit remotely, to launch new programs. Through it all, Montage has continued to grow – securing multiple new business opportunities and expanding our dynamic team.

“On behalf of Commerce Secretary Wilbur Ross, I applaud our awardees accomplishments, dedication, and continuous drive for success,” David J. Byrd, National Director of the U.S. Department of Commerce’s Minority Business Development Agency wrote to us. “We recognize your creativity, ambition, and determination as an example of the contributions minority-owned enterprises make to our economy.”

This honor by the Minority Business Development Agency and the U.S. Department of Commerce is sincerely received by the entire Montage team. We feel very fortunate to represent our fellow MBEs as the Minority Marketing and Communications Firm of the Year, and we will continue to advocate on behalf of the more than 8 million minority business enterprises nationwide. Thank you!
