Experiential sponsorship activations and events fuel inclusive employee recruitment.




Target needed a partner to design and deliver in-conference sponsorship activations and a recruitment event that would raise its profile as a choice employer of Black, Latinx, and Native American young professional talent.


Montage leveraged our experience design expertise to create and construct interactive engagements, a recruitment event, and two feature spaces—a lobby level lounge and networking reception room—for the retailer.

We first assessed how attendees would use each space to ensure ease of movement, conversation, and participation. We then designed the physical environments and associated activities to immerse conference attendees in Target’s employer brand and attract prospective employees.

For a conference-wide networking event, Montage employed user-journey mapping to create a run-of-show that guided attendees through four key stages of hiring, including interview preparation and personal presentation. High-impact engagements, including a kinetic affirmation wall, professional makeovers, and free headshots provided entertainment and added value.
